Club Roomer Bonaire benefit residents of Bonaire who may be in need of financial help and friendship

The “Happy Jazzy Hour” A Success!


A merry crowd of young and old enjoyed a festive evening in the garden of Hotel Roomer. On Dec 30.


From under the poolside tiki hut, the Andreina Quartet set the mood as jazz vocalist Andreina Marcana Gonzalez expressed her musical personality to the delight of about 140 attendees.


Drinks, special $10 dinners, and oliebollen added to the social evening, which culminated with a special raffle to benefit Club Roomer. Commanding center stage (or rather center tiki hut) was Eddie Thielman , the local advocate for Club Roomer and key connection to the Bonairean community. He had the honor of being assisted by the famous Dutch singer and actress, Joke Bruijs, who drew and announced the winning tickets. The prizes, donated by the artisans participating in the Club Roomer Christmas Market on Dec 11, were awarded to over 15 happy winners. The raffle proceeds will help fund the next club charity coming on January 27


One party-goer summarized the experience, “I've never been to Roomer's before, but I'll return whenever I'm on-island – the people and the music are the best!” We agree! The gathering was a success for both organizers and attendees.


Thank you to Martin and Nicole of Hotel Roomer for providing the venue, and to the Club Roomer volunteers for organizing, promoting, and pulling off such a great fund-raiser activity!

Bonaireians who have come together to bring a little joy into the lives of
some of the less fortunate on our lovely Island of Bonaire.


We ask you to join us in supporting this effort with your membership
($25/person; or $40/family), your volunteer time, and/or your donations of
money or special things.  If you do not wish to join we welcome whatever
donations in time or money you would like to make.
